Project Engineer (Material Handling)

What you will do

• Manage all engineering-related aspects of conveyor and material handling projects, including schedules, budgets, and engineering change orders.
• Collaborate with project managers, buyers, customer service, vendors, suppliers, and other cross-functional partners.
• Review customer specifications and coordinate system and equipment designs through customer approval.
• Use AutoCAD and other drafting tools to complete system reviews and check drawings for accuracy.
• Provide technical support and validate handshakes and data exchange between multiple automation solutions.
• Lead and mentor other engineering team members when required by project scope.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Expertise in engineering concepts, practices, and procedures, particularly in the material handling industry.
• Experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems, Autonomous Mobile Robots, Pallet Shuttle ASRS, and high-speed conveyor systems.
• Ability to independently anticipate project tasks, manage timelines, solve problems creatively, and communicate effectively across teams.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing team members.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Inventor or similar drafting and design tools.
