Senior Professional Engineer, Mechanical - Manufacturing & Heavy Industrial

Salary: $97,000–$153,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead mechanical design for heavy industrial facilities, including mining and production operations.
• Design and oversee industrial ventilation, dust collection, process piping, pumping, plumbing, balance-of-plant, and material handling support systems.
• Scope project requirements, verify calculations, validate equipment selection, and prepare or review drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate mechanical design with civil, structural, electrical, and architectural disciplines.
• Act as a technical leader and client partner from concept through construction, including construction administration and occasional site visits.
• Mentor early-career engineers and contribute to project coordination, client interactions, and proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
• 8+ years of mechanical design experience in heavy industrial or mining environments.
• Experience leading technical design efforts across disciplines and mentoring junior engineers.
• Ability to travel occasionally, generally up to approximately 20%, and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and/or Plant 3D.
• Previous design experience in mining or industrial facilities.
• Project management experience.
