Salary: $73,736–$137,417 per year. Typical new-hire ranges are $77,832–$96,431 in Kansas City, KS and $73,736–$91,356 in Rogers, AR.

What you will do

  • Develop mechanical project designs under Engineer of Record and senior staff supervision.
  • Perform engineering calculations, develop design concepts, and design mechanical systems.
  • Create system layouts, detail drawings, schematics, and schedules using Revit, AutoCAD, and related software.
  • Develop heating and cooling load calculations in Carrier HAP and model airside ductwork, air terminals, waterside piping, pumps, and equipment.
  • Coordinate project scope, feasibility, and equipment needs with architects, contractors, engineers, manufacturers, project managers, and clients.
  • Visit project sites, attend project meetings, review shop drawings and equipment submittals, and check work for technical accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience; a related master’s degree may substitute for up to 1 year of experience.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design, the AEC industry, applicable codes, and standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook and enter daily timesheet data.
