Project Engineer (SolidWorks)

Location: Massanassa, Valencia, Spain; flexible hybrid work with travel of up to 20% to customer sites and other TOMRA locations

What you will do

• Scope customer projects and prepare cost estimates for bespoke solutions during the quotation stage.
• Review customer specifications and support compliance with project requirements.
• Develop 3D concepts in SolidWorks and 2D plant layouts in AutoCAD.
• Create project-specific P&IDs, electrical connection lists, and third-party integration interfaces.
• Conduct site visits, measurements, risk assessments, and installation follow-up activities.
• Maintain engineering, manufacturing, service, and technical documentation while coordinating multiple projects with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Project Management, Service, and Production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in a design-related engineering role.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D technical drawing, with working knowledge of SolidWorks.
• Experience creating engineering documentation and technical drawings.
• Spanish and English proficiency required.
• Valid driving license and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience in the food industry or a similar industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop practical solutions to technical challenges.
