Digital Automation Consultant (Material Handling)

Location: United States; remote work is indicated for this role

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 base compensation annually, plus benefits and additional incentives

What you will do

• Analyze customer operations and identify automation opportunities in Material Handling environments.
• Define use cases, KPIs, and success criteria aligned with customer goals.
• Design and present automation solutions and build financial justifications that support decision-making.
• Translate operational needs into technical requirements and explain technical designs in business-friendly language.
• Provide technical leadership across sales, solution consulting, engineering, and services.
• Collaborate on proofs of concept, factory acceptance tests, network audits, industry insights, and thought leadership.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in Material Handling, automation, industrial networking, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of OT/IT networking, including Ethernet, switching and routing, VLANs, wireless, resiliency, and basic cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with automation, IIoT, robotics, and Lean/Six Sigma.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with RPA tools such as UiPath or Automation Anywhere.
