Electrical Construction Senior Project Manager (Electrical Construction)

Location: San Jose, California; onsite. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $120,500–$182,200 per year, paid weekly and commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Direct project objectives, policies, procedures, performance standards, and resource allocation to ensure successful and profitable delivery.
• Lead and mentor the project management team and coordinate daily project management activities.
• Monitor construction progress, schedules, budgets, field conditions, and corrective actions with foremen and general foremen.
• Manage subcontractors, change orders, project logs, cost tracking, and contract financial performance.
• Act as a liaison with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams in project meetings and construction activities.
• Support project estimating and business development while reporting profitability to upper management.

Requirements

• More than ten years of industry experience, including at least ten years in project management, preferably in electrical construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred, or an equivalent combination of trade experience, education, and relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, methods, complex electrical construction, and management practices.
• Experience mentoring and managing others, with strong organizational, written, verbal, customer service, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings and comply with electrical codes, labor agreements, and state regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Bluebeam, with an understanding of AutoCAD and Revit; Accubid estimating experience preferred.
