Electrical Project Manager

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; Workplace: On-site. Travel to jobsites is required.

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 per year.

What you will do

• Plan, oversee, and manage multiple commercial electrical projects from bidding through close out.
• Review specifications and drawings and prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and pricing.
• Develop business opportunities and maintain relationships with owners, clients, contractors, and field staff.
• Negotiate pricing and procure project materials and equipment.
• Monitor budgets, resources, schedules, and project progress, reporting status to management.
• Conduct project reviews and recommend improvements to estimating and project management procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering, and/or 5–10 years of electrical management experience.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, contract specifications, drawings, and document requirements.
• Experience with electrical takeoff and pricing software.
• Strong customer service, communication, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to travel to jobsites and perform physical activities including walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
