Manager, Subcontracts & Procurement (Supply Chain)

Location: Remote - U.S.

Salary: $135,000–$185,000 per year, depending on candidate location and experience.

What you will do

• Lead major subcontract execution across cost, schedule, technical, and quality performance.
• Manage the full procurement cycle, including supplier qualification, requests for proposals, proposal evaluation, negotiations, contract execution, and modifications.
• Coordinate Subcontracts, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Planning, suppliers, and project management teams.
• Develop sourcing strategies, supplier scorecards, cost-avoidance initiatives, and GR/IR strategies to support timely supplier payments.
• Measure supplier performance, initiate corrective actions, and improve procurement efficiency and KPIs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Purchasing/Subcontracts team, including performance appraisals and training plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree is highly desired.
• Typically 15+ years of procurement and subcontract management experience, including 3–5 years in management.
• 5–7 years of subcontracts management experience with Master Service Agreements and complex Subcontract Agreements.
• Experience with subcontract types including IDIQ, cost-reimbursable, and fixed-price contracts, as well as negotiations, terms and conditions, incentive arrangements, and order placement.
• Experience negotiating Subcontract Agreements valued at $25–$50 million and managing Subcontract Administrators and Supervisors.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation-level English communication skills; strong project management, negotiation, conflict resolution, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• U.S. government contracting experience, especially LOGCAP, government solutions experience, and familiarity with FAR and DFARS.
• Experience managing international customer and supplier relationships.
• Experience managing or leading 25+ supply chain personnel.
• Experience with DCMA audits, including CPSR audits, and strong cost and price analysis skills.
• Experience with global procurement processes, supply chain management, internal metrics, and KPI improvement initiatives.
