Subcontract Lead (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, United States; office or hybrid environment

Salary: $74,581.13–$102,549.04 per year

What you will do

• Lead the development and management of subcontract specifications, work statements, bid packages, and terms and conditions.
• Evaluate complex subcontractor proposals against technical and financial requirements.
• Lead negotiations covering subcontract terms, pricing, and schedules.
• Administer FFP, T&M, CPFF, and CPIF subcontracts throughout their full lifecycle.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, maintain contract records, and recommend new subcontractors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with company policies, federal regulations, FAR, and DFARS flow-down requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4+ years of related experience, or 8+ years of related experience in place of a degree.
• Advanced proficiency in subcontract management principles and methodologies.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally for supplier and subcontractor meetings.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance are required.

• Extensive aerospace and defense industry experience.
• Expertise with procurement and subcontract management software.
• Advanced supply chain certification such as CPSM or CFCM.
