Subcontracts Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid role in Carlsbad, California, United States

Salary: $141,000–$223,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $175,500–$263,500 annually.

What you will do

• Coordinate, negotiate, award, administer, and close out complex proposals and subcontracts.
• Develop subcontracting strategies, evaluate supplier capabilities, and support strategic sourcing decisions.
• Manage subcontractor performance, supply chain risks, pricing analysis, and contract modifications.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, hirify.global procurement policies, and import/export regulations.
• Prepare requests for proposals, price and cost analyses, risk management plans, business cases, and compliant procurement files.
• Advise internal and external stakeholders and provide guidance and informal training to the Supply Chain team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in supply chain, contracts, or a related field, including at least 6 years in subcontract management.
• Experience supporting Department of War programs and large, complex government space and defense programs.
• Proficient knowledge of FAR and DFARS provisions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• US citizenship is required for this US Government position.
• Must be able to obtain a United States Secret Clearance; ability to travel up to 10% is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, satellite, telecommunications, or high-reliability electronics.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP, and PLM or Agile systems.
• Cross-functional experience in operations, supply chain, procurement, or contracts.
