Senior Buyer, Logistics

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, USA; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

Salary: $75,800–$141,700 (Zone C), $83,400–$155,900 (Zone B), or $90,900–$170,100 (Zone A) annually, depending on work location and qualifications; eligible for incentive plans.

What you will do

• Execute logistics sourcing projects end to end using the strategic sourcing process.
• Identify and lead cost-saving initiatives across strategic business units and functions.
• Develop cross-functional relationships and contribute to category sourcing strategy.
• Manage savings through PPM and use Apptus for contract management.
• Drive supplier performance through KPI implementation and supplier scorecards.
• Manage procurement of logistics services, primarily North American truckload, intermodal, and hostling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in logistics.
• Knowledge of project management and sourcing or procurement tools and methodologies.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to drive change and performance improvement through teamwork.
