Maintenance Mechanic-12hr (6pm-6am)

Location: Forest Park, Georgia, USA; onsite at the main facility. The role works 12-hour overnight shifts from 6pm to 6am on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Starting hourly rate: $35.60 per hour, plus a shift differential if applicable for overnight hours.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, analyze, repair, and improve mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, power-transmission, and other plant equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections, planned and emergency work orders, housekeeping, and machinery lubrication.
• Support root cause analysis and provide maintenance feedback to planners.
• Use tools, rigging equipment, man-lifts, fabrication skills, and machine-shop equipment to repair and rebuild machinery.
• Install bearings, seals, belts, chains, and other components; read and update technical manuals and drawings.
• Collaborate with operations, project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to commission and sustain new or overhauled equipment.

Requirements

• Hands-on industrial maintenance experience or successful completion of a two-year technical college curriculum or vocational training in mechanical or electrical areas.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain automated packaging equipment, mechanical drives, conveyors, and pumps.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and various man-lifts; certified man-lift experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and handle tools and machinery components for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in varying temperatures and noise levels while following OSHA and hirify.global safety standards.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, initiative, ownership, and limited-supervision skills, with commitment to plant non-negotiables and 5S standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with fillers, capers, labelers, conveyors, case packers, palletizers, blow molders, or other automated packaging equipment.
• Experience with welding, machining, mills, lathes, band saws, presses, or related shop equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, automation devices, sensors, robotics, communication networks, and AC/DC drives.
• Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Suite, Process Book, FactoryTalk, and related maintenance software.
