Salary: $175,590–$214,610 per year, plus eligibility for variable pay.

What you will do

  • Provide legal advice and support to Procurement, including drafting, negotiating, and evaluating vendor agreements.
  • Draft, negotiate, and evaluate network provider agreements and advise on related state and federal regulatory matters.
  • Advise business areas on Medicare and other government program requirements, member communications, privacy, security, and eligibility.
  • Draft and negotiate confidentiality agreements and other ancillary contracts with vendors and providers.
  • Review internal and external business communications and advise on potential legal issues and risks.
  • Manage competing legal projects and workloads while meeting internal and external deadlines.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing of at least one state bar and ability to register as Massachusetts in-house counsel.
  • At least six years of contracting or regulatory experience.
  • Prior healthcare experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, healthcare privacy and security, and confidentiality laws and regulations.
  • Strong business judgment, contract negotiation, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

  • In-house legal experience.
  • Prior Medicare compliance experience.
