Associate General Counsel, Healthcare Law

Location: Primarily remote; local candidates preferred, with the ability to travel onsite to hirify.global locations in Massachusetts as needed.

Salary: $147,995.12–$188,688.50 per year

What you will do

• Provide strategic legal advice on healthcare, privacy, regulatory, commercial, and operational matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements covering goods and services, consulting, shared and managed services, physician employment, grants, collaborations, data use, and research.
• Advise hospital departmental leaders and senior leadership on legal risk, compliance, and organizational initiatives.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution to minimize organizational risk.
• Support corporate governance, policy development, compliance initiatives, hospital committees, and working groups.
• Monitor legal and regulatory changes and collaborate with external counsel and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate.
• Licensed or eligible to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• At least five years of legal experience in healthcare law.
• Experience providing legal advice, interpreting laws and regulations, managing legal risk, and negotiating contracts.
• Strong communication, research, negotiation, judgment, problem-solving, leadership, and consensus-building skills.
• Familiarity with hospital or healthcare environments, hospital operations, and medical terminology.

Nice to have

• Eight years of legal experience in healthcare law.
• In-house legal experience.
