What you will do

  • Configure and test complex building automation control systems against contract specifications.
  • Develop and test software programs and load and commission controllers across system and network levels.
  • Validate system functionality and troubleshoot issues to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with project management and engineering teams on inspections and service findings.
  • Create as-built drawings and software documentation.
  • Train building owners and operators on complete building control systems.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience with building automation control systems, including Schneider Electric, SmartStruxure, Space Logic, I/A, Andover Continuum, or Tridium Niagara R2/AX/N4.
  • Two years of experience with mechanical and/or electrical engineering systems.
  • Knowledge of construction or HVAC systems, control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building automation.
  • Experience integrating low-voltage building subsystems using industry protocols such as LON and BACnet.
  • Basic networking knowledge and the ability to communicate inspection and service findings to customers and coworkers.
  • An associate degree in mechanical engineering, electronics, electrical engineering, information technology, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
