Control Technician (HVAC)

What you will do

• Install, wire, terminate, and commission HVAC control systems, including controllers, sensors, actuators, thermostats, and field devices.
• Install low-voltage control wiring, communication networks, and raceway systems according to project specifications and applicable codes.
• Perform system startup, testing, commissioning, verification, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and repair building automation systems, HVAC equipment interfaces, controllers, field devices, and communication networks.
• Document service activities, commissioning reports, system modifications, as-built drawings, materials, and work performed.
• Coordinate with project managers, service technicians, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers while following jobsite safety requirements.

Requirements

• Full-time onsite work in Birmingham, Alabama.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, control diagrams, wiring schematics, sequences of operation, and construction drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot BAS communication issues involving BACnet, Modbus, and other protocols.
• Ability to safely operate lifts, ladders, tools, equipment, technology, and company vehicles.
• Availability for after-hours service calls, emergency response, and scheduled maintenance as required.
