Project Manager (Automation)

Location: Franklin, Tennessee, or remote within the United States; approximately 25% travel required.

What you will do

• Own complex automation projects from kickoff through commissioning and closeout, ensuring safe, timely, on-budget delivery.
• Lead cross-functional engineering, controls, procurement, installation, commissioning, finance, and field teams.
• Build and maintain schedules in Microsoft Project, including scope, critical path, resources, and milestones.
• Serve as the primary customer contact, translating technical information into clear plans and maintaining trusted relationships.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive solutions to keep delivery on track.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cash flow, change orders, billing performance, and resource alignment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience in material handling, automation, industrial, manufacturing, construction, or a related industry.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects from planning through completion.
• Experience managing projects valued at approximately $30 million or more and coordinating teams of 10–15 or more contributors.
• Strong financial acumen, including project budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and performance management.
• PMP certification, or willingness to obtain it within six months of joining.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, with confident communication across customer, executive, field, and technical stakeholders.
