Project Manager (Transmission Projects)

Location: Remote; projects are based in Massachusetts

What you will do

• Manage complex, multidisciplinary transmission, substation, distribution, overhead, and underground projects from development through execution.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, communications plans, change-control processes, budgets, and cash-flow forecasts.
• Coordinate environmental assessments, siting and permitting activities, regulatory filings, System Impact Studies, ISO-NE and NEPOOL submissions, and outage plans.
• Manage interconnection agreements, engineering and construction procurement, energization plans, operating instructions, and project execution.
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare clear management reports and corporate testimony for local, state, and federal regulatory proceedings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; a degree in finance, business, or an equivalent field will also be considered.
• 15+ years of professional experience, including 7+ years managing major engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
• Experience with distribution line, substation, and transmission projects, public and regulatory approvals, and matrix organizations.
• Ability to manage multiple complex transmission projects concurrently, meet deadlines, set priorities, and make decisions independently.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, leadership, team-building, coaching, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices, including preparing regulatory presentations and expert witness testimony.
