Head of Business Unit (Automotive Plastics & Silicone)

What you will do

• Provide disciplinary and functional leadership for assigned personnel and ensure the required qualifications.
• Manage production operations, including production resource planning and achievement of production targets.
• Own quality, financial, HSE, cleanliness, and order standards for the business unit.
• Initiate, prioritize, steer, and monitor productivity and optimization projects with process engineering, product development, and product marketing.
• Plan investments and drive the further development of the production area.
• Communicate directly with customers.

Requirements

• Degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering with additional business qualifications, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in plastics and silicone processing and knowledge of automotive industry requirements.
• Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean training, preferably at Black Belt level.
• Experience in project management and initial leadership experience.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP, with strong English language skills.
• Commitment, flexibility, independent goal-oriented working style, teamwork, and conflict management skills.
