Manager Manufacturing & Process Engineering (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing engineers and drive process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to resolve manufacturing issues, reduce downtime, and maintain efficient production operations.
• Support new product introduction by partnering with R&D on manufacturability, process validation, and equipment qualification.
• Evaluate and implement manufacturing equipment, automation, and other advanced technologies.
• Partner with Quality to maintain process controls, conduct root cause analysis and CAPA, and support regulatory compliance.
• Manage engineering projects and collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and R&D.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline with 9+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years of experience.
• 5+ years supporting regulated manufacturing environments involving FDA, ISO 13485, cGMP, or equivalent requirements.
• 3+ years of direct people leadership experience managing engineering or technical teams.
• Experience leading capital equipment projects, facility expansions, or manufacturing process implementation through qualification and production.
• Experience with process validation, IQ/OQ/PQ equipment qualification, change control, and risk management.
• Fluency in German and English, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt experience.
• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated manufacturing.
• Experience with IIoT, MES, SCADA, PLCs, Industry 4.0, or digital manufacturing technologies.
