Senior EMC Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Plan, conduct, and analyze EMC measurements at IC, board, and system level according to international and automotive standards.
• Define and execute pre-compliance and compliance test strategies to identify EMC risks early.
• Investigate EMC failures, determine root causes, and implement effective mitigation solutions.
• Influence chip, package, PCB, and system-level design decisions involving filtering, grounding, shielding, and layout.
• Collaborate with design, layout, package, safety, application engineering, and customer teams.
• Provide EMC expertise, technical guidance, mentoring, and support for automotive customers, OEMs, and Tier-1 suppliers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Several years of hands-on EMC experience, ideally in automotive electronics or semiconductors.
• Experience with radiated and conducted emissions, susceptibility, and immunity testing.
• Proficiency with EMC test equipment, measurement tools, and software, plus strong knowledge of EMC principles, standards, regulations, and procedures.
• Understanding of semiconductor devices and their interaction with electromagnetic fields, including standards such as IEC 61000, CISPR, FCC, and CE.
• Fluent English is required; German is beneficial. Strong analytical, communication, and independent problem-solving skills are expected.

Nice to have

• Experience with EMC simulations and modeling tools.
• Previous experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
