Sr Tech Support Specialist - Engineering

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts, United States; onsite engineering role.

Hourly rate: $38.41–$50.06 per hour

What you will do

• Develop complete CAD construction drawing packages for gas main installations, retirements, services, regulator stations, and commercial meter sets.
• Prepare project estimates, work orders, quotes, reports, tables, and procedures in SAP.
• Confirm gas pipe flow pressures using GasCalc and maintain accurate CAD, PDF, as-built, and network-drive records.
• Support customer charge projects through site visits, CAD drawings, DigSafe tickets, permits, and SAP business-partner setup.
• Provide gas utility information and drafting support to internal departments, government agencies, surveyors, engineering firms, municipalities, and contractors.
• Maintain CAD libraries, plotters, standards, connections, and title blocks while assisting with training for new engineering employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering or engineering technology plus at least 2 years of technical experience in gas engineering or related fields; alternatively, an associate degree plus 4 years, or a related technical high school diploma plus 6 years.
• Formal AutoCAD training and 1–2 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of blueprints, as-built drawings, and mapping.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, collaborate effectively, and solve complex problems.
• Applicants must meet applicable United States immigration requirements to work in the country.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• SAP experience, especially SAP Work Management.
• Experience with gas utility or energy-sector projects.
• Ability to organize large quantities of critical information accurately.
