Project Engineering Intern - Digital Grid Management - Summer 2027

Location: Medina, Minnesota, United States; onsite at the office

Hourly internship pay rate: $24.00–$28.00

Company

Develops software for industries and provides Digital Grid Management solutions that support real-time control, optimization, and management of complex energy networks.

What you will do

• Complete a summer engineering project aligned with the focus of the assigned team.
• Develop technology-related solutions such as data analytics, automated test tools, or software programs.
• Support the delivery of control systems for electric and other utility companies.
• Apply engineering knowledge and programming techniques to real-world project goals.
• Present the completed project and results to senior leadership at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment and drive innovative solutions with persistence.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Linux or Windows operating systems.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not provided; candidates requiring current or future sponsorship are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Experience with C, C++, Python, or other programming languages.
