Senior Engineer, Platform Services (AI)

What you will do

• Build shared platform services that unify capabilities across hirify.global's product suite and acquired codebases.
• Develop MCP integrations, shared skill libraries, type systems, test harnesses, linters, and pre-commit hooks for agent-ready development.
• Create developer tooling, golden paths, and scaffolding that improve the internal engineering experience.
• Support product teams integrating with platform services and collaborate with SRE on shared-service reliability.
• Evaluate agentic development tools and establish patterns for reliable AI-assisted engineering workflows.
• Measure improvements in engineering productivity, platform adoption, reliability, and workflow outcomes.

Requirements

• Meaningful experience at the infrastructure or platform layer.
• Hands-on experience with agentic development in production-adjacent workflows, including a CLAUDE.md or equivalent repository guidance file.
• Ability to define problems, ship iteratively, measure outcomes, and communicate technical trade-offs clearly.
• High agency and comfort building a new team and platform without a detailed backlog.
• CLI-native development workflow using Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or an equivalent tool.
• Strong ownership, collaboration, production reliability mindset, learning agility, and judgment when using AI coding tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, operations software, or commerce.
• Familiarity with Elixir/Phoenix, TypeScript, Kafka, GCP, Temporal, Prefect, or Airflow.
• Experience building an internal developer platform or working with event-driven architectures and messaging systems at scale.
• Experience with OAuth, OIDC, RBAC/ABAC, Terraform, open source, agentic developer communities, or M&A system integration.
