Associate Director of Product Risk & Risk Management (FTC/ Secondment)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office site. The role is available for a fixed term of 12 months.

What you will do

• Manage critical governance meetings, including risk committees and product governance forums.
• Prepare management information, briefing materials, reporting, and governance documentation for senior executives.
• Design, develop, and maintain governance frameworks and standards across the Client Solutions Group.
• Oversee product governance, product-related risks, decisions, and change activity across the product lifecycle.
• Provide first-line risk partnership, challenge, and oversight, including deep-dive reviews and risk assessments.
• Coordinate risk remediation programmes and lead the resolution of complex cross-business risk and control issues.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of product management risks, regulations, and frameworks across the end-to-end product lifecycle.
• Extensive experience with risk management frameworks and non-financial risk disciplines.
• Knowledge of how a large commercial bank operates, including its products, clients, and financial and non-financial risks.
• Ability to identify emerging risks, assess control effectiveness, design practical solutions, and drive remediation.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, analytical thinking, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort using data, analytics, and AI to identify emerging risks, improve decisions, and automate processes.
