Industrial Engineer (Semiconductor Wafer Fabrication)

What you will do

• Develop and improve fab capacity models, analyzing WIP flow, bottlenecks, cycle time, variance, and resource constraints.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, including A3s, SMED events, 5S, value stream mapping, and waste reduction.
• Build dashboards and automate reporting for cycle time, WIP health, fab performance, forecasts, and dispatching systems.
• Lead cross-functional projects involving new technology introduction, tool moves, workflow redesign, cycle-time reduction, and cost savings.
• Conduct time studies and layout evaluations while diagnosing dispatching, scheduling, and operational performance issues.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, planning, automation, facilities, finance, and IT teams on factory optimization and technology transfers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in high-tech manufacturing; wafer fabrication experience is preferred.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization, including A3, SMED, 5S, and VSM.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, data modeling, and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Occasional travel may be required for project support, training, or cross-site collaboration.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SQL, Python, automation concepts, or FPS ETL improvements.
• Experience in wafer fab operations, technology transfers, or factory transitions.
