Principal Industrial Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Beaverton, Oregon or Farmers Branch, Texas; on-site production floor engagement is required. Day shift with travel to other Service sites of approximately 10–25%.

Salary: $94,100–$123,480 per year in Beaverton, Oregon; pay may vary by location. Full benefits, quarterly profit-sharing bonuses, and flexible spending or savings accounts are included.

What you will do

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and industrial engineering methodologies to reduce waste, improve flow, and increase efficiency.
• Develop capacity models for tooling, equipment, and headcount requirements based on demand forecasts.
• Analyze workflows and process cycles to identify bottlenecks, reduce wait times, and improve customer turnaround performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for operational inefficiencies.
• Collect, analyze, and visualize operational metrics to support data-informed decisions.
• Partner with Service, Operations, and Engineering teams to manage projects, develop standard work, and implement scalable process improvements across multiple sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of related experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree, or a PhD without experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with industrial engineering, continuous improvement, capacity models, workflow analysis, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to work hands-on on the production floor and perform computer-based analytical work.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10–25% to other Service sites.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in a Service and Repair environment.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing or test processes.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification at Green Belt level or higher.
• Knowledge of ERP or MES systems.
