Senior Corporate Counsel (Disputes, Capital Markets, & Strategic Initiatives)

Location: Staines-upon-Thames, England, United Kingdom; hybrid working with a balance of remote and in-office work

What you will do

• Manage assigned litigation, arbitration, and pre-contentious matters from intake through resolution.
• Develop facts, collect documents, prepare witnesses, instruct external counsel, and manage litigation holds and disclosure obligations.
• Prepare matter assessments, exposure analyses, reserve recommendations, settlement documentation, budgets, and counsel performance updates.
• Support debt financing and refinancing workstreams by reviewing credit, security, guarantee, and amendment documents and managing closing checklists.
• Provide embedded legal support for strategic and transformation programs, translating decisions into legal requirements and maintaining issues and dependencies logs.
• Coordinate specialist legal input and prepare governance, approval, and risk materials for program steering committees.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 6–10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong transactional experience drafting and negotiating commercial or finance documentation and managing deal workstreams to fixed deadlines.
• Experience owning complex matters end-to-end across competing stakeholders and multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience working for or within a multinational business.
• Ability to instruct specialist advisers, consolidate their input, assess risk and exposure, and present clear recommendations.
• Strong written communication, sound judgment, and comfort working across shifting priorities and ambiguous situations.
