TL;DR
Legal Counsel (Commercial Payments): Providing in-house legal advice across commercial contracts, product development, corporate governance, regulatory matters, disputes, and intellectual property for vehicle payments businesses with an accent on pragmatic risk management and commercial negotiation. Focus on drafting and negotiating UK agreements, supporting strategic initiatives, managing litigation, and advising stakeholders across multiple payments businesses.
Location: Swindon, United Kingdom; assigned workspace in the designated Swindon office

What you will do
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to business colleagues, leaders, and senior legal staff.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements across the UK.
- Support Allstar, Keyfuels, Plugsurfing, and other Vehicle Payments businesses on daily legal matters and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare board minutes, maintain corporate registers, and support corporate filings.
- Manage commercial disputes and litigation matters in the UK.
- Advise product development initiatives, protect the intellectual property portfolio, and support legal function operations.
Requirements
- UK-qualified lawyer with 2–5 years PQE; candidates with more or less experience may be considered.
- Experience working in an in-house legal team.
- Strong commercial contracting and negotiation skills.
- Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and effective in communication and problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work in a practical, team-oriented environment.
