Legal Counsel (Fintech)

What you will do

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements with clients, suppliers, and other counterparties.
• Support the maintenance and enforcement of group policies and procedures, including contract-signature controls.
• Advise HR on staff disputes, claims, grievances, and related legal issues.
• Provide legal advice on disputes and claims involving the company and third parties.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other corporate activities when required.

Requirements

• Admission as a solicitor in England and Wales; suitable for newly qualified lawyers through candidates with up to 3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and contributing to precedents and legal processes.
• Knowledge of law affecting the financial sector in the UK and globally, including data protection law.
• Strong communication, organisation, prioritisation, and workload-management skills.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with internal clients, including sales and commercial teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and legal databases.

• Knowledge of other Microsoft suite applications.
