Reservoir Engineer

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States. The role is office-based with occasional outdoor work and travel by air or car to locations in Texas and nearby states.

What you will do

• Develop, calibrate, and maintain reservoir simulation models to evaluate performance, forecast deliverability, and support long-term storage planning.
• Evaluate reservoir and well performance data to optimize storage capacity, deliverability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Design reservoir enhancements, well interventions, and performance improvement programs.
• Provide engineering input for reservoir development strategies, capital projects, and economic evaluations.
• Review reservoir studies and simulation results for technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to engineering standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities with reservoir, drilling, operations, geoscience, and regulatory teams; prepare technical reports and reserve evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, or a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering.
• Engineer-In-Training registration with a state board.
• 3–5 years of professional engineering experience, or four years with the alternative degree path.
• Expertise in reservoir simulation software such as Eclipse, CMG, Petrel RE, or equivalent.
• Experience with Nodal Analysis tools such as Prosper/Gap and pressure transient analysis tools such as Ecrin/Saphir/Rubis.
• Knowledge of API RP 1170/1171 and state-level underground storage regulations; a valid driver’s license is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
