Senior Wellbore Reliability Engineer (Oil and Gas)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain root cause analysis datasets for water influx and wellbore integrity issues.
• Analyze water influx data to identify recurring failure modes, trends, and systemic risks affecting well economic life.
• Evaluate corrosion- and erosion-driven failures using reliability analysis methods.
• Develop and guide mitigation strategies for water influx and wellbore integrity degradation.
• Lead implementation and project management of approved mitigation measures, including vendor engagement.
• Provide technical guidance on well construction, workover, remedial design, cathodic protection, and other integrity systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related mathematics or statistics field.
• At least 7 years of engineering experience, including 2 or more years in oil and gas.
• Experience with deviated or horizontal wells, including drilling, completions, or wellbore remediation.
• Corrosion training or certification such as NACE or AMPP, with proficiency in CBL/VDL interpretation and reliability analysis methods.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Spotfire and Power BI.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL Server and Python.
