What you will do
- Identify, prioritize, present, and monitor oil and gas development and exploitation projects.
- Evaluate reservoir, production, geological, pressure, injection, and well-log data to identify and quantify targets.
- Construct depletion plans, reservoir evaluations, recovery forecasts, and reservoir models.
- Research field and well histories and produce wellbore schematics and structure, production, isobaric, and isopach maps.
- Perform Nodal Analysis and evaluate the economics and profitability of potential investments.
- Work with geologists and operations engineers to mature rate and reserve projects to executable status.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university.
- At least two years of reservoir engineering experience; candidates with at least four years of reservoir responsibilities are considered ideal.
- Ability to conduct detailed reservoir studies, integrate geological data into engineering calculations, and combine data from different sources into reservoir models.
- Knowledge of the responsibilities of operations engineers, geologists, geophysicists, landmen, and other professionals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Aries, Petroleum Experts, and IHS.
- Availability for 24-hour on-call support and strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Nice to have
- Production engineering experience.
- Experience with Petra, Harmony suite, CMG, IP, Rose suite, Spotfire, or R.
