Process Engineering Technician 2nd Shift

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $58,996–$93,252 annually. An annual or quarterly bonus may apply, and alternative shifts may include a shift premium.

What you will do

• Support chemical, mechanical, and photo engineering processes in the manufacturing facility.
• Complete scheduled equipment, process, and product checks and execute corrective actions.
• Evaluate product acceptability and determine whether to continue or change a process.
• Investigate defects and determine root causes.
• Write and edit procedures and support projects that improve process quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and engineers to troubleshoot issues and operate production equipment for special engineering tasks.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or higher in engineering, or equivalent professional experience combined with a high school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing experience is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and software and use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to prioritize multiple short- and long-term assignments and communicate technical information.
• Ability to stand throughout the shift, lift 40 pounds, work in confined spaces, use ladders safely, and work in crouched or overhead positions.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, is required.
