Maintenance Technician 2 (3rd Shift)

Location: Commerce, California, United States; onsite, full-time, Wednesday–Sunday, 8:15 PM–4:30 AM with rotating work days

Salary: $22.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and repair production machinery, facility equipment, and related systems in a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
• Respond to production-floor maintenance requests and diagnose mechanical, electrical, network, and computer hardware/software faults.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance activities according to established plans and documentation.
• Record maintenance work, manage parts and equipment inventory, and process assigned work orders.
• Train and coach production technicians and new maintenance technicians on equipment setup, troubleshooting, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Coordinate equipment shutdowns, repairs, and external service requests with supervisors, vendors, and suppliers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience and electro-mechanical experience.
• Powered Industrial Truck Certification.
• Experience with production equipment preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, schematics, blueprints, OSHA requirements, and Level A, B, and C equipment maintenance.
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet software; intermediate written, verbal, and math skills.
• Ability to work the third shift, including call-in and overtime duties, and perform physical work involving standing, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 40 pounds.
