Focus on resolving product and equipment failures, managing nonconforming materials, improving work instructions, and coordinating calibration and process changes.

Location: San Francisco/Oakland major-market area

Base salary: $81,470–$122,206 per year, plus a performance-related bonus plan.

What you will do

  • Monitor production quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and adherence to documented work practices.
  • Oversee Statistical Process Control activities for critical manufacturing processes.
  • Investigate out-of-control products and product failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare periodic statistical reports for customers and manage Nonconforming Material Reports through timely closure.
  • Support quality assurance with customer complaints and Corrective Action Requests related to batch manufacturing.
  • Write and update work instructions, troubleshoot process equipment, and coordinate equipment and instrumentation calibration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
  • At least 3 years of related process engineering experience preferred.
  • Training or practical exposure to continuous improvement methodologies comparable to Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Ability to collaborate with Maintenance and Production and follow Management of Change procedures for equipment repairs and process changes.
