Maintenance Technician 2 (Manufacturing)

Location: Commerce, California, USA; on-site first-shift schedule, Thursday–Monday, 4:15 AM–12:30 PM, with rotating work days and variable maintenance hours.

Salary: $22.00–$30.00 per hour, with the actual offer depending on education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and location.

What you will do

• Respond to production-floor maintenance requests and support machinery and facility repairs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, network, and computer hardware/software issues.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance according to established plans.
• Document work orders, maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment problems.
• Train and coach production technicians and new maintenance technicians on setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate equipment shutdowns, repairs, and external service requests with supervisors, vendors, and suppliers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience and electro-mechanical experience.
• Powered Industrial Truck Certification.
• Experience with production equipment preventive maintenance, equipment fault diagnosis, Level A, B, and C maintenance, and reading schematics or blueprints.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, intermediate communication and math skills, and basic Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet software skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Commerce, California, including call-in and overtime duties, while carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds.
