Senior Accountant (Live Entertainment)

Location: New York City, NY; onsite

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Review sponsorship, advertising, and partnership agreements, amendments, deal changes, deliverables, and fulfillment schedules.
• Analyze sponsorship contracts and transactions for revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Prepare and review journal entries, commissions, accruals, general ledger postings, and related party transaction allocations.
• Manage month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, deferred revenue, and contract asset analysis.
• Review accounts receivable aging and coordinate with collections, Marketing Partnership Finance, Legal, Operations, and auditors.
• Support quarterly reviews, annual audits, internal controls over financial reporting, and special projects while meeting reporting deadlines.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of automated accounting environments.
• Public or private accounting background preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud or similar platforms preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• CPA certification.
