Manager Finance

Location: New York City, NY; on-site position

Salary: $83,000–$130,000 USD per year

Live entertainment organization operating major venues, sporting events, concerts, family shows, special events, and theatrical productions across New York and Chicago.

What you will do

• Prepare annual operating and capital budgets, monthly forecasts, and business reviews for venue operations, food and beverage, and merchandise.
• Prepare and present month-end reporting packages, including variance analysis, for department heads and the General Manager.
• Produce post-event flash reports, weekly revenue-versus-budget reports, and product, quantity, sales, and ROI analyses.
• Track and analyze labor, utilities, taxes, licenses, permits, and capital expenditures.
• Partner with Accounting during month-end close by reviewing P&Ls, researching variances, and communicating findings.
• Analyze food and merchandise data warehouse flows from POS systems, support new POS integrations, and handle operational finance requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or strategy, preferably in financial analysis and budgeting within entertainment or sports.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with Excel, Tableau, Oracle GL, Oracle Planning/Hyperion, and food and beverage systems.
• Ability to track union and part-time labor against plan and collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
• Ability to work on site in New York City, NY.
