Senior Accountant

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States. Primarily office-based; limited travel may be required based on project needs.

Salary: $90,000–$115,000 annually.

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Reconcile general ledger, bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable accounts.
• Support internal and external audits, account analysis, and tax filings.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, GAAP, and applicable financial regulations.
• Identify and implement accounting process improvements and provide ad hoc financial analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 5–10 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior accountant role.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with Sage 300 and Power BI accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or certification in progress.
• Construction industry experience.
