Operations Manager (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Fremont, CA

What you will do

• Design and manage the end-to-end inventory system, including part numbering, receiving, and cycle counts.
• Maintain high inventory accuracy across labs and warehouses while kitting parts for robot builds.
• Enforce lab organization standards, including 5S, ESD compliance, and safety practices.
• Own outbound robot shipments, including crating design, freight management, and export documentation.
• Coordinate logistics with the Seoul office and manage cargo insurance and damage claims.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in hardware lab operations, materials management, or logistics.
• Proven experience building or significantly improving inventory systems.
• Ability to read BOMs and handle engineering hardware/prototypes safely.
• Must be able to work on-site in Fremont, CA.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and remain on feet for the majority of the day.

Nice to have

• Current hazmat/dangerous goods certification for lithium batteries.
• Experience shipping capital equipment internationally (e.g., semiconductor, medical imaging).
• Background in export compliance (ECCN classification, restricted party screening).
• Forklift certification.
• Experience scaling a company from prototype builds to customer shipments.
