Materials & Inventory Specialist (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Receive, inspect, document, and process flight hardware, electronic components, raw materials, and production supplies.
• Maintain serialized, lot-controlled, revision-controlled, and expiration-controlled inventory records.
• Prepare and issue electronic component kits for PCBA builds using BOMs, work orders, build requirements, and traceability documentation.
• Track and reconcile consigned inventory at external assembly partners, including consumption, shortages, excess, and returned materials.
• Coordinate material movement between warehouses, cleanrooms, production areas, internal teams, and suppliers.
• Support cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, corrective actions, shipments, and improvements to inventory-control and ERP/MRP processes.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in materials, inventory, production control, supply chain operations, or related high-reliability manufacturing.
• Experience with receiving, inventory transactions, cycle counts, material issuance, reconciliation, BOMs, work orders, and production schedules.
• Knowledge of electronic component handling, including part numbers, date and lot codes, moisture-sensitive devices, and ESD-sensitive components.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to resolve material risks and discrepancies.
• Ability to stand, grasp, sit, pull, bend, and lift at least 40 lbs unassisted; ability to operate material-handling equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting PCBA manufacturing, electronics production, or external contract manufacturers.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems, HTS codes, ECCN basics, Incoterms, and controlled-item handling.
• Experience in aviation, space, defense, electronics, or other high-reliability manufacturing industries.
