Logistics Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Burlingame, California, United States

What you will do

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments of flight hardware, engineering equipment, demonstration units, materials, and company property.
• Manage carriers, freight forwarders, couriers, customs brokers, shipping documentation, tracking, and delivery follow-through.
• Support customs clearance with shipment values, country of origin, HTS classifications, ECCN information, Incoterms, and commercial documentation.
• Pack, crate, label, receive, and handle sensitive, serialized, ESD-sensitive, and configuration-controlled hardware.
• Perform receiving, inventory transactions, cycle counts, material issuance, reconciliation, and kitting based on BOMs and work orders.
• Support production-floor material movement, urgent transfers, events, field testing, repairs, and return logistics while following safety and quality requirements.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, materials, supply chain operations, or a related field, preferably in aerospace, space, defense, electronics, or manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments, transportation providers, customs brokers, and time-sensitive or high-value hardware.
• Knowledge of shipping documentation, HTS classifications, ECCN basics, country of origin, Incoterms, export-controlled hardware, and U.S. trade compliance.
• Experience with receiving, inventory control, cycle counts, material issuance, reconciliation, BOMs, work orders, and production schedules.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, risk identification, and problem resolution.
• For this U.S. role, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or other protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds unassisted and perform prolonged standing, grasping, sitting, pulling, and bending.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP/MRP and inventory-management software.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality-management systems.
• Experience operating motorized lift equipment, pallet jacks, cranes, or lifting fixtures.
• Experience supporting the scale-up of logistics systems, processes, and software.
