TL;DR
Sr. Director - COO Chief of Staff (Healthcare): Driving cross-functional healthcare operations initiatives and executive governance with an accent on strategic counsel, organizational alignment, and hands-on execution. Focus on coordinating enterprise priorities, preparing Board and Operating Committee materials, and solving complex problems across senior leaders, internal teams, and external partners.

Location: Boston or Hingham, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid Flex persona with required in-office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Salary: $214,650–$262,350 per year, plus eligibility for variable pay

What you will do

  • Act as a strategic partner and trusted proxy to the Chief Operating Officer on organizationally important matters.
  • Lead priority cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Drive integrated advocacy and consumer experience strategies across the enterprise.
  • Facilitate executive meetings and governance forums, including agenda-setting, materials preparation, and follow-up.
  • Lead the Operating Committee’s strategic agenda, annual planning, governance, and action-item execution.
  • Prepare Board of Directors Health Care Quality and Affordability Committee materials and represent the COO with senior leaders, partners, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of healthcare business administration or management experience; a BA/BS degree is preferred.
  • Proven credibility and trust with senior executives, including the Office of the CEO.
  • Experience leading projects, implementing major initiatives, delivering business results, and achieving critical milestones.
  • Strong track record in team building, motivation, cross-functional management, and alliance building.
  • Expertise in consensus building, negotiation, and influencing partners without direct authority.
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry and its external environment, with excellent strategic, analytical, communication, and relationship-management skills.
