Strategic Planning Senior Director (Healthcare)

Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut, United States

Annual salary: $193,300–$322,100 USD, depending on experience and geographic location; eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead the annual enterprise strategic planning process across business, functional, financial, and portfolio planning.
• Coordinate multi-year strategic plans, strategy-linked financials, investment priorities, and capital allocation with Finance.
• Translate enterprise strategy into actionable priorities, measurable outcomes, governance processes, and transformational initiatives.
• Facilitate executive planning forums, alignment sessions, financial reviews, and governance meetings.
• Advise senior executives by framing strategic questions, evaluating opportunities and risks, and developing Board-ready communications.
• Build strategic capabilities across the organization and manage a pool of senior advisors supporting enterprise strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, business development, or related strategic leadership roles.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide strategy development and strategic planning in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Strong executive influence, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with business cases, financial analysis, strategic evaluation, and large cross-functional initiatives.
• For occasional or permanent home working, a cable broadband or fiber connection with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, health services, insurance, pharmacy, or adjacent industries.
• Experience with enterprise transformation, portfolio strategy, growth strategy, or operating model evolution.
• Experience translating strategy into execution and leading enterprise-wide communities, councils, or cross-functional networks.
