Electrical Construction Project Engineer

Location: Santa Fe Springs, California; onsite

Salary: $30.00–$42.00 per hour, non-exempt, paid weekly

What you will do

• Support the Project Manager and project team on active electrical construction projects.
• Manage document control, drawings, permits, submittals, shop drawings, RFI logs, and project reports.
• Perform electrical take-offs, estimating, change-order pricing, and budget and cost tracking.
• Manage purchase orders, vendors, material releases, lighting and switchgear tracking, and prefabrication coordination.
• Provide field foremen with project information and material tracking, and manage subcontractor coordination.
• Support schedule reviews, project closeouts, and operations and maintenance documentation.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in the electrical construction trade, including knowledge of construction sequencing, methods, materials, and electrical systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an AA or BS in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Experience with construction estimating; Accubid is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam, with the ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, local union labor agreements, and state compliance laws and regulations.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
