Construction Coordinator I

Location: Augusta, Maine; field work at customer sites throughout Maine

Salary: USD $29.00–$39.00 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect overhead and underground electrical distribution facilities, equipment, communication facilities, poles, and mid-span structures.
• Collect field data using laptops, tablets, GPS, and other electronic devices for database entry and reporting.
• Perform system inventories, audits, joint-use management and permitting, pad-mount inspections, ground-line pole inspections, and lighting audits.
• Prepare minor work orders, maintenance reports, measurements, and other field documentation.
• Apply electrical utility construction standards, engineering practices, and National Electrical Safety Code requirements.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and personal protective equipment standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree in construction management or engineering with 0–2 years of experience, or 2–3 years of related electrical field experience without a college degree.
• Knowledge or experience in electrical distribution or electric utility construction is preferred; mentoring and training are available.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn GPS systems and utility inspection equipment.
• Current US work eligibility and a valid US driver license in good standing are required.
• Travel to customer sites throughout Maine is required.
