Analyst, Platform & Enablement (Data Analytics)

Location: Hybrid in Waterloo or Toronto, Canada; candidates must live within a commutable distance and be available onsite as needed. Work can be performed from a home office when not onsite.

Salary: CAD $122,010–$165,070 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Build and validate certified analytical models for retention, churn, trial conversion, bookings, subscriber counts, and marketing effectiveness.
• Reconcile analytical datasets with finance and operational source systems, investigate discrepancies, and maintain data quality.
• Analyze customer lifecycles, digital journeys, web funnels, acquisition, engagement, purchase, and renewal behavior.
• Create waterfall and funnel analyses, investigate KPI anomalies, and identify drivers of business outcomes.
• Build and maintain Databricks data models, transformation logic, analytical tables, dashboards, and automated reporting pipelines.
• Deliver ad hoc and executive-facing analysis while documenting data lineage and collaborating with Data Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Product, and Data Stewards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
• Deep knowledge of subscription or SaaS metrics, including retention, churn, auto-renewal, trial conversion, LTV, and bookings.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, including hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, and Delta Lake.
• Experience with web analytics and tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, or Google Tag Manager.
• Experience with Power BI, data validation, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and documenting metric definitions.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analysis and manage work in agile two-week sprints.
