Senior Specialist, Item File

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; onsite at 1940 Argentia Road

Salary: CAD 64,700–88,990 per year, based on relevant experience.

What you will do

• Manage item creation, maintenance, validation, cleansing, and master data lifecycle activities.
• Champion data governance standards, process controls, and compliance across the eCommerce business.
• Investigate data quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend sustainable preventive solutions.
• Enhance and develop validation tools, gather requirements, implement business rules, and support UAT and production deployment.
• Create reports, dashboards, documentation, job aids, and training materials for item data processes and tools.
• Partner with Merchandising, Replenishment, Supply Chain, eCommerce, Technology, and Operations stakeholders on process improvement and system enhancements.

Requirements

• Experience in master data management, item data, merchandising, eCommerce, retail operations, data analysis, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of data quality, governance, process controls, data lifecycle management, and validation rules.
• Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Basic knowledge of a programming language such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or SQL, with experience in software development, tool development, data analysis, or automation.
• Experience with testing practices, reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, and data modeling principles.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, training, organization, and problem-solving skills.
