Senior Data Steward

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid with 3 days per week in the office

New hire base salary: $96,200–$120,200 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

hirify.global is a large food and consumer packaged goods company with North American commercial data and analytics operations.

What you will do

• Maintain the conceptual structure, taxonomy, formulas, mappings, and accuracy of North American commercial sales datasets.
• Design and recommend analytical approaches to improve business reporting and data quality.
• Align definitions, metrics, and consumption KPIs with local and North American commercial teams.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to structure large-scale data projects and implement datasets for analytics.
• Coordinate developers and data engineers to translate business requirements into implemented stories.
• Maintain the improvement and bug backlog, guide issue resolution, and implement enhancements to data sources and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, including an MBA; preferred fields include computer science, statistics, data science, or business.
• At least 4 years of experience in a fast-paced environment; experience in CPG, commercial analytics, or consumption sales datasets is valued.
• Strong SQL and data manipulation skills; experience with Snowflake and Python is helpful.
• Experience with BI tools and preparing data for BI solutions, preferably Power BI.
• Strong project management, prioritization, ownership, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Knowledge of commercial consumption metrics and KPI calculation; familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, and Collibra is recommended.
